GDPR

What is GDPR?

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and refers to the European Union Regulation no. 679/2016 on the protection, confidentiality and access to personal data of individuals on the territory of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). This Regulation became enforceable beginning 25 May 2018 in all EU member states.

Without reproducing the regulation together with its provisions (you can access it at this link), we will summarize here answers to the key points that apply within our organisation:

What personal data does the Caolin Association collect and by what methods?

The Caolin Association exclusively collects the personal data necessary to register for the contest, for which the participant has given their consent. This is the minimum information required by the Romanian legislation in force and is necessary for the organisation and taking place of the contest.

The Caolin Association does not collect or process other personal data for marketing or advertising purposes.

Who has access to this data and how is it processed? Is it shared with third parties?

Personal data is processed by the Caolin Association, with the identification data specified in the ‘Contact’ section of the website www.caolinart.com. The data collected and stored in the software system can exclusively be accessed by the staff of the Caolin Association involved in the operations of the contest organisation.

Any secondary activities carried out by the Caolin Association (e.g. promotion campaigns, press releases, etc.) are based on the consent given explicitly for these purposes. The Caolin Association does not share personal data with any third party and for any purpose other than those stated above.

Where is the collected data stored? Is it safe?

The data is stored electronically, in the secure system of the platform.

How can I access, rectify or erase my personal data?

The data provided through the caolinart.com website may be modified or deleted through a written request to the Organiser. For this purpose, please use the contact information in the ‘Contact’ section of the caolinart.com website. Upon request, the Organiser will provide you with all your personal data stored in the system, together with any other information related to it.
Thank you for trusting us.
