Our team is composed of Ioan Sumedre Jr. – Art Director, president and founding member of Caolin Association, Codruța Pop – Volunteer Officer and founding member, Mihai Sumedre – Consulting Manager and founding member, Milena Surducan – Experience Manager, Preda Ailincăi – Technical Director and organizer of the International Ceramics Biennial Cluj, Urs Zumbühl – Head of Marketing and Vasi Hîrdo – Consulting Manager and editor of Ceramics Now Magazine.
With a common shared vision, we set out to transform Cluj-Napoca into an epicenter of contemporary ceramics by organizing the International Contemporary Ceramics Festival – CAOLIN. We aim to bring together local and internationally renowned artists, promote traditional craftsmanship, design and innovation in ceramic art, and offer the public a complex, deep and interactive cultural experience.
Together, we work passionately to ensure that each edition of the event becomes an oasis of creativity, education and joy for all our participants and visitors.
